former PhD candidate

Anja Dietrich studied biology at the University of Leipzig and is specialized in the field of neurobiology. Her PhD project focused on eating-related bevavioural control. She examines potential differences between groups, differing in Body mass index (BMI) and measures of eating behaviour using behavioural tests and Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). In particular She investigates if there are variations in brain activity related to craving and down-regulation of the desire for high-caloric food by means of fMRI. Further, she is interested in potential differences regarding the balance between habitual and goal-directed behavioural control between groups based on BMI and measures of eating behaviour using tests investigating instrumental performance.
