Bar­bara has com­plet­ed her Bach­e­lor in Psy­chol­o­gy at Dres­den Uni­ver­si­ty of Tech­nol­o­gy in 2016 and is cur­rent­ly enrolled in the Master’s pro­gram “Psy­chol­o­gy: Cog­ni­tive and Affec­tive Neu­ro­science”, also at TU Dres­den. As part of Dr. Franziska Korb’s team in Dres­den she is involved in research on self-con­trol in food choic­es in healthy, nor­mal-weight adults. As part of her master’s the­sis, Bar­bara inves­ti­gates self-con­trolled choic­es in a deci­sion-mak­ing task with food items and brain activ­i­ty relat­ing to such choic­es. Bar­bara is join­ing the O’Brain in 2022 for five months to com­plete an intern­ship where she is involved in data eval­u­a­tion and research on food choic­es in clin­i­cal populations.
