O’BRAIN Lab at the International Conference on Motivational and Cognitive Control
Sherwin Nedaei Janbesaraei and Arsene Kanyamibwa represented the O’BRAIN Lab at the International Conference on Motivational and Cognitive Control in Helsinki.
The O’BRAIN Lab took part in the International Conference on Motivational and Cognitive Control, held from 25–28 August 2026 in Helsinki, Finland.
The conference brought together researchers working on the mechanisms that shape motivation, decision-making, learning, and cognitive control.
Our doctoral researchers Sherwin Nedaei Janbesaraei and Arsene Kanyamibwa represented the lab at the meeting. On Thursday, 27 August, both presented posters and took part in the flash-talk programme, sharing their ongoing research with fellow researchers and conference participants.
Their contributions highlighted the breadth of the lab’s work, from computational approaches to the study of food reward and eating behaviour. The presentations also provided an opportunity to discuss new ideas, receive feedback, and connect with researchers working across motivational and cognitive control sciences.
