Emma Wegmeth

Emma is a second-year Master's student in Neuropsychology at the University of Leipzig and is completing a 2.5-month Erasmus internship at the O'BRAIN Lab in Helsinki. She is involved in the neuroPOD project, which focuses on deep neurocognitive phenotyping in an obese cohort.

Previously, Emma spent a year as a research assistant at the University Clinic of Leipzig, based at the Institute of Social Medicine, Occupational Medicine and Public Health (ISAP), led by Prof. Steffi G. Riedel-Heller. As part of the Epidemiology and Public Brain Health workgroup, she contributed to the MyBraincoach project, focusing on dementia prevention and risk awareness.

Emma is currently writing her Master's thesis at ISAP on the incidence and risk factors of depressive symptoms in mid- and later life.
