The O’BRAIN Lab at Department of Psychology at the University of Helsinki in collaboration with KG Jebsen Center for Obesity Research is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher. The position focuses on why individuals differ in their ability to maintain weight loss, integrating neurocognitive profiling, endocrine markers, and structural and functional MRI data across large longitudinal cohorts in collaboration with groups in Oslo and Leipzig.
The successful candidate will implement a standardized neurocognitive assessment battery, analyse multivariate cognitive profiles in relation to endocrine and outcome data, examine brain correlates using existing MRI datasets, and contribute to predictive models of weight-regain risk and treatment response. Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field (e.g. cognitive neuroscience, psychology, data science, engineering), have experience with multivariate modelling and MRI data, and be motivated to work on individual differences in cognition, emotion, and eating behaviour within a collaborative, international team.
