Welcome Narges Salili

We are delighted to announce that Narges Salili has joined the O’BRAIN Lab and the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Research at the University of Helsinki as a doctoral researcher.

Narges obtained her B.Sc. in Psychology from Shahid Beheshti University and her M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tehran. Her graduate and clinical work focused on cognitive and affective processes, psychopathology networks, evidence-based interventions, and obesity-related behavioral and metabolic mechanisms. She has also worked as a licensed psychotherapist and as a research and teaching assistant in clinical psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Her doctoral project, “Breath, Brain, Behavior: A Neuro-inflammatory pathway to Central Adiposity Risk in Shift Work,” investigates the neurobiological, circadian, and neuro-inflammatory mechanisms that may predispose shift workers to central adiposity. Her work brings together clinical assessment and quantitative methodology, including latent class analysis, network analysis, and mixed-effects modeling.

We are thrilled to welcome Narges to the lab and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make to our research on obesity, brain, and behavior.
