Welcome our newest Doctoral researcher, Sherwin!

We are excit­ed to announce that Sher­win Nedaei Janbe­saraei has joined the OBRAIN lab as a doc­tor­al researcher. Sher­win’s research will focus on lever­ag­ing insights from eat­ing dis­or­ders to explore neur­al net­works and uncov­er bio­mark­ers that could save lives or alle­vi­ate the bur­den for at-risk individuals.

Sher­win has defend­ed his MSc in Cog­ni­tive Sci­ence (Mind, Brain, Edu­ca­tion) at the Insti­tute for Cog­ni­tive Sci­ences Stud­ies in Tehran, Iran, in Feb­ru­ary 2025. He also holds a degree in Infor­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy Engi­neer­ing from Islam­ic Azad Uni­ver­si­ty, Zan­jan, Iran.

Since Sep­tem­ber 2019, Sher­win has been a Soft­ware Devel­op­er and has con­duct­ed research in machine learn­ing at the Com­pu­ta­tion­al & Math­e­mat­i­cal Psy­chol­o­gy Lab of Shahid Beheshti Uni­ver­si­ty and the Insti­tute for Research in Fun­da­men­tal Sci­ences (IPM), both in Tehran, Iran.

His unique blend of exper­tise in Cog­ni­tive Sci­ence and Com­put­er Sci­ence will be invalu­able as he embarks on his doc­tor­al research.
