We are excited to announce that Sherwin Nedaei Janbesaraei has joined the OBRAIN lab as a doctoral researcher. Sherwin’s research will focus on leveraging insights from eating disorders to explore neural networks and uncover biomarkers that could save lives or alleviate the burden for at-risk individuals.
Sherwin has defended his MSc in Cognitive Science (Mind, Brain, Education) at the Institute for Cognitive Sciences Studies in Tehran, Iran, in February 2025. He also holds a degree in Information Technology Engineering from Islamic Azad University, Zanjan, Iran.
Since September 2019, Sherwin has been a Software Developer and has conducted research in machine learning at the Computational & Mathematical Psychology Lab of Shahid Beheshti University and the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM), both in Tehran, Iran.
His unique blend of expertise in Cognitive Science and Computer Science will be invaluable as he embarks on his doctoral research.
